Kiambu Family Calls For Arrest Of Woman As Details Emerge On Missing Former RMS Intern Found Dead

A family in Kiambu County has called for investigations following the death of former Royal Media Services intern, Derrick Omanga who was found dead after being spotted with a mysterious woman in Mwihoko.

Family and friends gathered to mourn the deceased whose untimely death has left many in shock.

According to reports, Derrick left home on December 5, 2025, heading to work in Karen.

That was the last time he was seen alive.

His parents filed a missing person report at Kasarani Police Station, prompting a search that ended in tragedy when his body was found in the mortuary.

Kasarani police said that Derrick was last seen leaving a club with a woman and a man.

The woman allegedly transferred KSh 1,600 from his Mpesa account.

After being grilled by DCIs, the woman alleged that she left the deceased with the mysterious man before his death.

Derrick's family questioned why she was released.

"We filed a missing person report at Kasarani Police Station. They had already picked up his body on the road in an alleged accident but didn't tell us . 

We would like to call upon the DCI to conduct an investigation in order to establish what happened prior to his death," said the family.
