As 2027 draws near, president William Ruto has allegedly ordered cabinet secretaries to take charge of his reelection campaign while he concentrates on managing his development manifesto.
In the Mount Kenya region, president William Ruto has allegedly assembled a team three powerful cabinet secretaries to lead reelection campaigns and at the same time lead a political assault against Rigathi Gachagua whose ever growing influence in the vote rich region remains to be a threat.
The three cabinet secretaries include; Geoffrey Ruku, Alice Wahome and Lee Kinyanjui.
The three have been tapped to take charge of campaigns due to their vast political experience. They are not technocrats, they were appointed to office due to their political background and role in the 2022 general elections.
While Mr Kinyanjui served as the 2nd Nakuru county governor, Mr Ruku and Wahome are former Members of Parliament with great mobilization power.
The three will work close with deputy president Kithure Kindiki who is the self proclaimed Mt Kenya region kingpin.
Kindiki already held a meeting with over 60 MPs from the Mt Kenya region and informed them about the reelection campaign plan.
The campaigns soon to begin, will allegedly be choreographed as development tours. They will be packed in a manner similar to 'empowerment rallies' where government machinery under Kindiki's leadership dished out monies to help support those in need.
Other Mt Kenya CSs including; William Kabogo, Mutahi Kagwe and Eric Muga will also be supporting the three.
