Former Deputy President and DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua has commended Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and other political figures for their support of the DCP candidate Stanley Kenga in Magarini Constituency.
The remarks came following a campaign visit by Kalonzo on Tuesday.
Gachagua highlighted the collaborative effort of multiple leaders during the outreach, including Eugene Wamalwa, Senators Cleophas Malala and Kamau Murango, nominated Senator Shakilla Abdalla, Kirinyaga Women Representative Njeri Maina, and Hon. David Mathenge.
“We are leaving no stone unturned as we engage the people of Kenya ahead of the 27th November 2025 by-elections,” Gachagua said on X, reaffirming the party’s commitment to addressing constituents’ concerns.
The DCP flag bearer, Stanley Kenga, was described by Gachagua as a candidate who “stands tall for justice and a better Magarini Constituency.”
The leader emphasized the urgency of reform, using the campaign metaphor of “draining the swamp” to highlight the need for accountability and effective governance.
Tuesday’s visit included direct engagement with residents of Marafa Ward in Magarini, where leaders interacted with constituents to discuss development priorities and the challenges faced under the current administration.
Kenga’s campaign has focused on improving public services and ensuring representation that aligns with local needs.
The campaign efforts reveal a growing strategy among opposition parties to unite behind candidates with shared goals for governance reform.
The Magarini by-election, scheduled for November 27, 2025, is increasingly being framed as a test of opposition cohesion and public appetite for change.
