Allegations Emerge on How Jirongo May Have Stepped on Some Powerful People’s Toes Before he Died

David Murathe, Vice National Chairperson of the Jubilee party has attracted attention, after alleging that former Member of Parliament MP who represented Lugari constituency in the National Assembly late Cyrus Jirongo's political moves had threatened a section of powerful forces in the ruling administration who were probably not amused with him.

While making his pronouncement during Cyrus Jirongo’s requiem mass that was held on Saturday 27th, December 2025, at Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM), in Nairobi, David Murathe opined that since the former lawmaker had good fortunes in making big business deals happen, he might have unsettled influential individuals in power who felt displeased with him.

Specifically, David Murathe alleged that during the final moments of Cyrus Jirongo's life, he had engaged himself in several mega business deals that that promised him good monetary returns.

Murathe disclosed that Jirongo had secured carbon credits deal with Ugandan Father of the Nation his Excellency President Yoweri Museveni and that probably irked those in power.

Aside from that, Murathe also indicated that the late business man was also planning to set up expensive projects in Ruai and Libya.

Additionally, Murathe further argued that Jirongo's firm stance on his beliefs and against bad governance may have also offended influential people, days before he endured a grisly accident that claimed his life.

While concluding his remarks, Murathe eulogized Mr Jirongo as a rare breed in the political arena who was misunderstood by many people yet he was deeply patriotic.
