Safaricom Announces Free Calls Starting Tomorrow As part Of Celebrations to Mark the Company’s 25th

Safaricom PLC has announced a special offer granting its customers free call minutes starting tomorrow, as part of celebrations to mark the company’s 25th anniversary in Kenya.

Under the promotion, Safaricom subscribers will receive 10 free minutes on their first call of the day during the promotional period. 

The offer is part of the broader Shangwe@25 campaign, which aims to reward customer loyalty and celebrate Safaricom’s 25-year journey in the Kenyan market.

The free call offer will apply automatically to eligible customers, including existing, inactive, and newly registered subscribers who are active during the promotion period. 

Customers will not be required to opt in, as the free minutes will be credited automatically.

In addition to free calls, the Shangwe@25 campaign includes other rewards such as M-Pesa cash prizes, data bundles, SMS packages, and weekly draws offering various prizes. The campaign is scheduled to run until January 19, 2026.

Safaricom said the initiative is intended to encourage customers to reconnect with family and friends, particularly during the festive season. The company notified subscribers of the offer through SMS alerts and its official communication channels.

The promotion underscores Safaricom’s continued focus on customer engagement and appreciation as it celebrates a milestone anniversary in Kenya’s telecommunications sector.
